Product Description
Modified ACQ has been developed due to the shortcomings of ACQ such as bad mildew-proofing effect and sediment residue. It can be used for anti-corrosion and mildew-proofing for wood or bamboo. The usage is similar to ACQ in regard to soaking, brushing, spraying, and vacuum pressure impregnation. After treatment, the surface of the bamboo or wood will have no sediment residue and the color will be evenly distributed. The bamboo can show good mildew-proofing results after treatment.
Usage
Preparation of processing liquid: Modified ACQ and water in proportion 1: (9-14). Evenly distribute while stirring.
Process
* Soaking: material is immersed completely in processing liquid more than 1 hour.
* Brushing, spraying: brush or spray processing liquid evenly on the surface of material.
* Vacuum pressure impregnation: moisture content of material should be below 12%. keep the weight of dry product in the range of 4-9 kg/m3 according to the requirements of different environments.
* The treated material should be placed in a cool well-ventilated place to dry either naturally, or in a kiln, or by infrared radiation.
* The treated material will keep the orginal color. Application does not affect any follow-up processing such as painting, bonding, waxing, etc.
Packing
25 Kg, 50 Kg plastic container. Shelf life: 1 yr.
Notes:
* Modified ACQ preservative tends to produce a certain irritation on the skin and eyes. Therefore the handlers should wear protective overalls, gloves and masks. After operation or exposure to the preservative, one should promptly wash with clean water.
* Modified ACQ treated wood and bamboo cannot be used in food packaging.
* Modified ACQ preservative mildly corrodes copper, low carbon steel, zinc, and other materials. Therefore, one should avoid using any device or fasteners made of those materials, if they come into contact with ACQ. Stainless steel and hot dip galvanized materials are recommended.
* Store in cool and ventilated places. Keep away from children.
* If splashed into the eyes accidentally, rinse with plenty of water promptly. If swallowed accidentally, induce vomiting and seek medical treatment immediately.
